Man, there are only 10 games left in the regular season. I guarantee you i will be on the edge of my seat with my fingers crossed for each one. Phewwww. I love that with the Indians sweeping the Tigers, we almost almost have the wild card in the bag, BUT, in true Yankee fashion, i am greedy and i want the best. I WANT THE DIVISION!!!

Great game and win again, Lola. In fairness to Mariano, who wasn't efficient but has off tomorrow, he was careful with Huff and Hernandez, who have had some success against him, and Markakis hit a cheesy bloop double. Our boy Pettite's winning his 200th in pinstripes was great to see. He was outstanding yet again.
This team is rolling, and has a great chance to win the division yet again. Detractors can say it matters little with the Wild Card. I say baloney, especially when you play to win like the Yankees have. Incredible. I'm proud to have stayed optimistic and stuck it out.

The Wild Card doesn't make the comeback any less sweet or the division any less important...it's the difference between homefield and not homefield. And playing cleveland instead of anaheim (maybe). And it's saying we just completed the greatest comeback since MLB switched to two divisions...the comeback is great, and don't let anyone say otherwise.
