Good game/win last night. Lets do it again today =)! What a terrible road trip we just had. I am so ready to put it behind us and face this stretch like the champions we know we are.
And oh, Moose skipped for next start. I kinda didnt think Joe was gonna do that too him even though we definitely need it, but ah well. Whatever works! Its crunch time boys! Lets do this!! =)

Go Yankees!!!! :-D

Alas, i do pay for this blog...

...so i probably should use it more!! lol

I myself cant even fathom my laziness these days anymore. Its not like i am not keeping up with the world of Yankees baseball, alas, i'm stil very much a fanatic. But when it comes to updating my blog, i fall flat and the wind of laziness blows over me. lol. I keep telling myself i will do better. But i think i need to stop lying to myself. I dont know if my updates will ever be consistent again until playoff time. lol. Speaking of playoffs...how bout them Yankees, uh? ;-)

Anywhooo, was at the game the other day. The game when Jeff Karstens attempted to pitch. Alas, it was a miserable attempt at pitching, as we all know. Between him and the bullpen, we got blown out 12-0. Poor kid. I always root for the youngins, but i just couldnt get behind Jeff on this one. I heard he's back in triple A. Give it some more time Jeffie. Come back when u're really ready.

Here are some pictures i took =). CLICK TO ENLARGE.

At-bat pitcures are easily my favorite. Here's my favorite player Matsui getting ready to smoke one (and he hit a single).

RIP The Scooter . You shall never be forgotten.

0814g

Hey, a lil somthing for u to chew on ! tee hee, i <3 how this pic came out!!

0814m

I think this is one of my favorite pictures i've ever taken. Its at least in my top 10. I spent a lot of time editing this shot to get it just how i wanted. I think it looks so very editorial, like one of those Nike commercials. I <3 it!! We thought this guy was hot, so i was sneaking shots of him. Thank God for super zoom, lol. Anyway, it took some concentration to get this focus right, cause i wanted to keep the focus on just him. I think i did pretty well =)

0814c

I love taking pictures of the little factoids. =) A lil Robbie Jose trivia for ya!!

0814q

I like those lil factoids, like i said before =)

0814e

A-Rod at-bat.

Now this pic is definitely a favorite. I loved the little boy's MoHawk, and so i wanted a pic. But he was moving around too much, so i just had to keep flicking till i got a good angle and voila!!! I <3 this picture to pieces.

0814aa

It was my friend Myriam's (left) first Yankees game. I felt bad she had to come on a day they got beat so bad, but she still had fun!!! =)

Cyn, Me and Myriam enjoying ourselves despite being whooped 9-0 at this point.

Ok, thats all i have.
I have like 5 more games before season ends. So more pics soon =).
(PS. If you are wondering, yes i do take pictures sorta professionally, but no i am not a professional photog - i am a number crunching analyst bum, lol. I just have professional equipment and a very avid interest in photography. I carry 3 different lenses around with me, ha ha. I have a super zoom lens, which is why i can zoom so clearly on the field. All these pics were taken from way up in Tier Reserve seats).

All a bunch of tools.

I've never had a real problem with an entire baseball team (minus the Red Sox) the way i now have with the Toronto Blue Jays.

The beaning of Alex yesterday was the straw that broke the camel's back for me. Maybe because i tend to be "defensive" or "overprotective" when it comes to Alex, but was that really necessary? You got your shots in on Monday, why not end it there? AND OMG OVER AN INCIDENT THAT HAPPENED MAY 30TH??? We've played them after that, why no retaliation then? Just wanna be big and tough on your own turf, heh? No respect. No one goes around beaning A-Rod (or any other yankee for that matter) and stays in my good graces *makes mean faces lol*.

I dont usually condone retaliation, but major kudoes to Roger for having his boys back. Yeah, thats right. Take THAT Alex Rios. Although, Alex Rios didnt have anything to do with it, which is often the case when this sort of things happen, except in the National League where the pitcher does get to bat. But hey, an Alex for an Alex. LOL. Hope that didnt hurt too too bad, Mr. Rios. *chuckles*

Anyway, in other happenings, except you've been living under a rock, you now know Major League Baseball has a new homerun king in Barry Bonds.

I am just more relieved now that its all over and ESPN can finally let me rest a bit with the Barry Bonds breaking news and pop ups. Boy do they know how to shove something down your throat, those good folks at ESPN, lol.

As for my thoughts on the new record, although off course i dont condone steroid usage if he did (and we all know he did), i feel like people tend to forget that he was an Hall of Fame player before the questionable years. Would he have broken the home run record without the supposed steroid usage? Only God knows. I did an "analysis" [Where were you when Barry hit 715] once and concluded he may have. But that like everything else in baseball is all speculation (tell your statistics to shut up). I am not God. I just know that if he indeed juiced, it doesnt take away from the fact that he was/is a **** good hitter/ball player before any of this came into question. So i appreciate him for that.

I have no real cause to celebrate him passing Hank Aaron, so i am not. I'm just not gonna hop on the * bandwagon parade.

Maybe because i have faith that my boy Alex will come around and take his spot soon :-D

So i say, Congratulations Mr. Bonds.
Enjoy it while it lasts. =)

As for our season and how our beloved Yankees are playing right now, you could bet excitement is an understatement for what i feel. Although i havent been posting much, i'm still very much the fanatic i've always been and you could bet that right now, i'm running around telling a couple of people i told you so with a sinister smile on my face :-D.

The team that everyone counted out the playoffs just 2 months ago is now only 0.5 games behind the wild card and a very slender 5 games behind in the division. I'm not about to count my chickens before they hatch, but i must say, with the best record since after the allstar game, i'm loving our chances at the 10th straight division title. Off course, gettin into the playoffs in anyway possible is what counts, but in true Yankee fashion, i always aim for the best.

I dont know why people *cough*ESPN*cough* kee counting the Yankees out the race early in the seasons. Same thing last year. Havent they learned yet?
The Yankees are a force to be reckoned with. Dont you EVER doubt or forget that. ;-)

Lets Go Yankees!!!

Congratulations Alex!!!

500 baby! You ARE the man! :-D

500 at 32? Wow. How can anyone question your greatness?

The sky is the limit. Someday, i'll tell my kids all about what i an currently witnessing: "i was there when Alex hit number 500". You are amazing, and i am soooo happy you play with us! I look forward to witnessing your career however far God takes you and whichever team is lucky to have you. I will always have your back. Always!

-  Love, your third biggest fan :-D.
